We have all heard about corn circles on several farmers’ fields but what about similar circles on ice? Artist Jim Denevan has managed to create huge circles on the frozen lake of Baikal in Siberia. It is not the first time he has done something like this. A year ago he created massive art circles on sand in Nevada, and it turned out to be a success. To make the incredible patterns on ice he needed a broom and a whole team of helpers. The most amazing part is that the art circles are spanning an area of nine square miles.

That explains why he needed a huge team of helpers. It is not the first time that ice has been represented in a spectacular beautiful way that only nature can give; In Switzerland the frozen Sassolo Lake has an amazing iced underwater world to offer
